Frankenmuth Jellystone Park Camp receives mixed reviews, with some guests highlighting its family-friendly amenities, location, and activities, while others express concerns about cleanliness, staff behavior, and site size. Recent reviews suggest issues with racism and targeted treatment, impacting overall guest satisfaction.
This KOA was very pricy $100++ per night. The facilities were disappointing. The washers were incredibly small and still $2.75 per load. The showers and bathrooms were clean, but the showers were terrible. There was no temperature control and the water was cold for a long time than only moderately warm. There was a push feature on the handle that allowed only a short amount of water to flow, I had to continually push it to continue with the shower. It was very frustrating. I would not have expected this from a higher end campground.
Been coming here with our kid for 8 years. Our kid is 13 now and he still enjoys it. Indoor hottub, indoor & outdoor pools, lots of kids activities on the weekends make and a short bike ride to everything in Frankenmuth makes it a fun stay.
Need to speak to the actual manager/owner ASAP please. First time at this location. Had problem with racism at the front office. It was a whole ordeal. I've been camping at yogi bear with my parents since I was 5 and now I have my own camper and choose to stay solely at yogi bear park. Will never return to this location. Racism from older white lady wearing white shirt at front desk . Her grandchildren were behind counter with her. Wouldn't give name. No one would give me her name. She was unprofessional and racist to the point we almost left . Need to speak to the actual manager. Not some girl claiming to be. Reading through reviews, I've seen a couple mentions of a Karen on a golf cart . And that is the exact person I'm talking about. Guess I should've read the reviews. It beyond sad that one person could mess up a whole Campground and ruined a whole weekend of camping. RETIRE! I am trying to get in contact with The property manager, Cindy. The front desk has supposedly put my phone number and name on her desk to contact me back, but I have not heard yet back on such a serious issue. I have contacted Yogi Bear corporate. I have also contacted the department of justice, civil rights division, and filed a complaint. They contacted me back and wanted to know if the manager ever contacted me to try to resolve it before they moved forward. I love Yogi bear, but not this one. In over 30 years I have had not one problem. This is the first time and May I say the worst. Update: manager comped us for the one night. I still don't see us going back.
Really nice campground to visit with indoor pool and hot tub during the colder days. Full hookup sites. The staff had lots of information about the surrounding area.
This campground offers something for everyone! They have a playground, mini golf, heated pool, hot tub, outdoor pool, game room, theater room, camp store, full hook up (until first hard freeze). They are located within 2 miles of Bavarian Inn restaurant and Zenders, as well as all the shops in downtown Frankenmuth. They are also located right by the world famous Bronners
I visit this Jellystone every year and my family and I have a wonderful time. We visit on Halloween weekends and enjoy all of the fun things planned for the families. The only drawback every year is the staff. The front desk staff is fine but the guys on the golf carts are rude, condescending, and never friendly.
Came for Halloween camping. The office went out of their way to help us out of a tough situation of not being able to get to town (husband has MS and one of our e-bikes fell off the rack on our drive?). Denise drove us to town and another staff drove into town to make sure the shuttle was running for our ride home. Besides that, it is a clean a beautiful park, about .8 miles from town, lots of amenities and activities!!!
This place couldn’t be better located, just on the outskirts of town across the street from Bronner’s the Christmas store. The girl at the desk even gave me a coupon book! Our site was in great working order, I am a glamper so sure I would have loved a paved patio or bricks but the gravel is well maintained, the grass is almost golf course nice, I have little dogs so yes this is important to me. Site was large plenty of room we are 36 ft and 3 slides awnings and a large truck. Not one problem with utilities. The only complaint I could think of the security guard sits at gate, why? Never saw anyone driving around but saw a man and a woman in uniform by office… but had they been driving around they would have seen the kids riding bikes with no lights no reflectors screaming and riding in front of cars this was from 7pm-10:30 at least. So much I had to tell a girl to stop yelling, she was riding her bike thru my site so my site my rules.
For $90 per night, I expected more. Dirty and OLD showers with antiquated faucets and shower heads. Unsafe shower and bathroom facility with doors propped open on both ends. Minuscule sites with barely enough room for the awning to open before it hit the rig next to us. We were parked directly next to the rig on the end of a row. The entire rest of the row was empty for the duration of our stay. Why couldn’t we have one in the middle of the row or at least one site away from the only other camper in the row? And there was a really bright light at the end of the row that shone into our camper at night. The kids on motorized scooters and bikes were traveling at dangerous speeds, putting walkers in peril. We never saw any employees outside the office.
Location, amenities and service at the park was fantastic! Well kept and staff were so friendly. My only issue were the size of the sites. I felt like the photos and description online were a bit misleading. Much smaller than we thought. Sites are very, veneers close together in the regular park. I got a deluxe pull through that could fit an40ft rig and it could barely fit my 35' trailer hitch to bumper. If you have a 35ft+ trailer, get bigger than the deluxe sites.
