This Baymont Inn offers budget-friendly accommodations in a convenient location near Frankenmuth, boasting exceptionally friendly staff and a well-stocked breakfast. However, potential guests should be aware that the property shows its age with dated decor, occasional maintenance issues, and inconsistencies in guestroom temperature and amenities.
My family stayed here the night before attending an event at Frankenmuth. This was much more economical then staying in town and the rooms were clean and nice. I believe the drive to Frankenmuth was less than 15 minutes. The pool and hot tub area was also nice. Clean water, temperature was ok, and there was plenty of pool furniture. The real highlight was the included breakfast. Yolanda did her best to run it like a 4 Star restaurant. The hotel was fully booked that weekend and Yolanda managed to keep the coffee, biscuits, gravy, sausage, pancake machine, and eggs fresh and adequately filled. All while keeping things clean, interacting with guests, and making sure everyone was happy.
I booked for my 13 yr old daughter sleepover. I was scared cuz I heard bad things in the past but they were great. Room was nice and clean you know some things were ghetto-ly fixed but it’s a cheap hotel you get what you pay for. I had a king jacuzzi suite. I did ask for extra towels when they called to go over my rsvp and they didn’t have it in there. No big deal. The lady Carolyn was great she checked me in and out. Kass worked the front desk at night she was awesome friendly and fun. We did have this lady under us complaining about the girls I explained to the security guard that my girls may be laughing too loud but they’re not bumping they’re in the bed it does sounds like people are bumping if they walk through the hallway too hard it’s an old hotel. But that was ok the girls and I just agreed to be quieter. The pool was nice and warm and they stayed stocked on towels. I love the strong chlorine makes me feel better about the bacteria. Yolanda breakfast presentation was awesome. We did have a problem with our heat I set it to 80 wouldn’t go higher than 60. It was ok for bed we like to sleep cold but for after pool and waking up it was horrible. Overall the girls and I enjoyed ourselves and I said I definitely will be booking again sooner than later.
Disappointed. So hard to communicate with the strongheaded front desk. Their room is honestly OK, except for the sink drains very slowly and the strong pool smell in the hallway. Breakfast was too simple. No juice, no milk, no yogurt. But the staff in the dining area were nice. However, due to my bad experience with the front desk, I won’t go back again.
It was clean, the room was way to hot. Just wasn't a comfortable stay because it was to hot or to cold so we didn't get any sleep. Kids diving in the pool, unsupervised. Staff was great especially Yolanda who handles the breakfast. Andrew the manager needs an attitude check.
Our room didn't have heat and had to buy a heater. The room was 60 degrees in the room.y husband bought a heater at Meijer at 630 am..They still didn't fix it and our second night we had our own heater to keep us warm. When we went to check out asked about the price/ discount because no heat. Was told the manager could only do that and he would be in later on Sunday 2/1. We were never called, email or anything. What a fun no heat weekend except for our heater.. room 323. was never offered a new room or anything... SHAME on you. No customer service
The stuff was very friendly! The room was very clean! Other than a slight mix-up in the beginning, everything was top notch! Very grateful to have a nice, clean, organized, friendly place to stay when I'm out of town
Recently renovated and clean, modern. Otherwise horrible! Front desk personnel/manager refused our Visa (with airline miles) card, insisting it was a "money-loadable" card. Offered to verify the card by phone and was refused by management. Room deposit was on a "cash only" basis. This is highly suspicious, as we have never encountered any hotel having this kind of policy... We are Wyndham platinum members as well. Also very annoying to have the owners' family/friends take over the tiny lobby and front desk. Kids being disruptive, yelling, running around screaming. This went on for most of our 2-night stay. I do NOT recommend this place and we will not be back!! Too bad.
This was a nice stay. Room was clean. Bed was comfy. I slept well. It was quite. The only thing off was breakfast. Not very good. But I have had worse. Location was good for Frankinmurh and the Huckleberry railroad Cross Roads Village. They have a pool.
Got to stay there this weekend. Only downside is it's an older hotel. But the staff (from front desk, security, housekeeping, breakfast staff) alone makes me want to stay here again. They were all so friendly and accommodating. The rooms are kept clean and stocked especially our bathroom. The pool is nicely heated. Breakfast had a lot of options.
Unfortunately I was fooled by the Expedia rating. I needed a place quickly as I flew in due to my father being in his final days. This place is terrible. It may have been nice at one point but it's so run down. Multiple items were broken. I checked in for a multi-day stay around 10pm. The people next to me were loud and pounding on the walls until 1 am. At that point I had already had to get new linens and pillows because there were dead stink bugs in the pillow cases. At 2 the people in the other room began their loud relations after negotiating a monetary exchange for services. I notified the front desk and they apologized. At 4am I checked out and was told that I would have to call in the morning for a refund. The morning manager told me he would refund me for the nights I wasn't in the building and then give me 10% off and nothing more. He said he felt that was fair for my bug complaint. He said the other issues were out of his control as the relations people have in his room are their business. He also explained that it was really him taking the loss and inconvenience since expedia was going to take their commission out of the cost anyway. Side note, the night staff is very kind and helpful. Update, after working with the manager over the course of a few days he refunded me for the nights that I didn't stay and gave me the 10% discount on my one night. I appreciate him working with me and attempting to make it right. I wish Baymont, it's staff, and it's management team the best.
