The SpringHill Suites Frankenmuth offers a central location within walking distance of downtown Frankenmuth’s attractions, with generally positive guest feedback regarding its location and breakfast. However, numerous reviews highlight significant cleanliness concerns, outdated facilities, and operational issues such as elevator problems and inconsistent service.
We stayed at the SpringHill Suites in Frankenmuth in May 2025. The hotel is centrally located within walking distance of all major restaurants, shopping, and attractions in downtown Frankenmuth. The exterior of the hotel looks clean and fits well with the overall Bavarian theme of the town. The staff is mostly friendly and welcoming, but houskeeping needs to be a bit more attentive when it comes to toilet paper or requests for extra pillows. Cleanliness was okay. The elevator made major noises when going up and down, and we were never sure if we'd get stuck. Definitely needs attention. The room is refreshed, but lacks an in-room safe (I thought nowadays all hotels, with maybe a roadside motel have in-room safes). There's definitely plenty of room to have one installed in every room. The "suite" has a unique and weird layout, which makes the overall room appear very small and cramped. The decor is modern but appears very cold and unwelcoming. The bathroom is just bare and lacks any decor. The breakfast buffet was average and offers your typical hotel chain breakfast items, including make your own waffel, bread, cereal, and eggs, sausage, and potatoes. Overall, I feel that the rooms are way overpriced for what you get. Just for that reason, we would NOT recommend this hotel and would not stay here again. Save some money and stay outside of Frankenmuth, or for a similar price, stay at the Zehnter's or Bavarian Inn.
Perfect location to walk the town. Hotel was very clean. Room was bigger than expected. Breakfast was good. Staff was always kind. That elevator though….. if you haven’t yet, please call someone to fix it. The loud bangs and bumpy ride! Yikes.
Traveled here and stayed for a 3 week work trip. First week I had some young kids check into rooms next to me. They kept me up until about 2 am after multiple attempts to resolve with the lady at the front desk. She was rude, unhelpful, and didn’t take my multiple connects with her seriously. As a member or Marriott I went against my better judgement and stayed the second week as well. This week in using the gym- the gym is horribly outdated and unclean. No mirrors, no windows to outside, along with dirty equipment, dirty floors, and bugs. One of my most disappointing Marriott experience.
The room was nice, the pool was decent and the breakfast was good. The only negative was the staff were not inviting. They were rarely at the front desk when I needed things. They were never pleasant to really engage with. Also the pull out bed was dirty including under the couch.
An amazing stay at this hotel. The rooms were spacious and convenient location in the downtown core of Frankenmuth. Everything was walking distance or a short drive away to all the local attractions. Perfect for short family vacation stays.
Good location downtown. Unfortunately they use bifold closet doors which are extremely dangerous for toddlers. We had a very bad pinch but so close to being much worse. The rooms are quite dangerous. The shower drain didn't work much so you stand in a pool of your own filth and the skin castings of those before you. So some things were imperfect but overall a good hotel. Frankenmuth isn't all that. Won't be back for many years.
Rooms were ok, but had not had a good cleaning. Receptionist was nice, but night and day managers both ignored issues with wireless. Food options were good, but not all warm stuff was warm.
We arrived a little before check-in and they were able to accommodate us. Staff was friendly, breakfast was typical hotel breakfast. The hotel is located within walking distance of everything! If in this area again, I would stay here.
I would highly recommend, overall everything was over the top. But what impressed me the most was the General Manager and her staff. Had not been to this area before, but they made me feel as if I were home and with family. Had a strange incident with my car. But they were so over the top with assistance and making sure all was good. When I come back I will definitely make sure I stay here. Kuddos and much appreciation to GM and staff. !!!! ?
What a great hotel! As soon as we walked in, we were greeted at the service desk - was an easy check-in process. Everything seemed to be brand new - lobby, hallways, rooms. Very clean. Landscaping very well taken care of. Parking right there. Right in the heart of the downtown, easy walking to all the stores & restaurants. Wifi was pretty non-existent in all areas at the hotel and in the whole area. Not sure if its normally this poor or not? Continental breakfast - scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits & gravy, cereal, waffles, muffins. Was a great place to stay and highly recommend. Thank you for a great stay!
