Guests consistently describe this newly updated, family-owned motel as a clean, affordable, and highly accommodating option perfect for sleeping near downtown Frankenmuth. While the retro layout and basic amenities receive praise, several recent reviews cite specific maintenance issues including non-functional USB ports, aggressive LED parking lights, and inconsistent climate control that require proactive guests to prepare.

Well- maintained rooms, friendly staff. The price point was fantastic for Valentine's Day weekend compared to overpriced chains nearby asking $300 or more. When you just need a place to sleep and relax after day around town, this is the perfect place. We even asked for late checkout and it was given with no issues or extra cost. We will definitely stay again!

I photographed a wedding this past weekend and decided to stay here. The prices are very reasonable, and the staff is kind and courteous. I have no complaints about the room. It was nice and clean, and the bathroom was wiped down and stocked with essentials. All in all, it was a relaxing night and I will definitely be coming back here when I take overnight trips to Frankenmuth.

We had a great stay at The Frankenmuth Motel. Their is something about motels we really enjoy. Parking right in from of the room door is a blast from the past. This motel was special. The rooms were newly decorated, bery clean and plenty big for our 2 night adventure to the Bavaria of Michigan. It is a very short drive (our walk) from downtown and a short distance from Brommers. The only knock is the rooms have no towel bars... A little unexpected oddity, but not enough to not go back. Would recommend this motel to friends.

It was quiet, comfortable and clean. We couldnt actually fall asleep here and decided to drive home after midnight due to the extremely bright white spectrum LED lights flooding inside the window from the outside parking lot. Most people would probably be happy with this motel. The light sensitive should beware.

This is a no frills motel but a step above your typical motel. Some nice upgrades in the room (23) with sink, faucet, and tiled bathroom floor, but the carpet was old and worn with rips and a bit of a hole through it. The pillows were comfortable and the bed was good. A little firmer than we are used to. The room has a decent sized tv but the channels did not match the directory sheet given. It was nice to have a microwave and mini fridge in the room. Both were clean and worked well. No safe. The temperature would not regulate the first night ..heat would turn on, then air conditioning, then heat on its own. The wall unit blew the cold air right onto and over both beds. Fortunately, we brought extra heavy blankets. We kept the thermostat at 67 and the other two nights were better regulated. Minimal breakfast but no charge (except $1 water bottles/$2 pop). Boiled eggs, toast, jelly/peanut butter, butter, bagels, low-fat cream cheese, glazed donuts, bananas, yogurt, coffee tea, hot chocolate packets/hot water, oatmeal packets..no milk. Nothing sugar free. Some minor issues: no light around the mirror to see for makeup, the wall usb ports by the bed did not work—plug did work, shower was very temperamental-hot to cold in a millimeter or less, and the walls were very thin. We could hear the neighbor’s tv show and sometimes what they were saying. Sounded like they were in our room. In winter, not much is walking distance. You will need to drive. There is a shuttle but we did not use it. Not sure that it goes directly to the motel. The plows did a good job clearing the parking lot and putting down salt.

Excellent. It was a simple overnight stay for us. It is an older style motel, the structure and layout BUT, don't assume it is stuck in the past. The rooms are updated and have a contemporary feel; nice, neat and clean. The shower was hot and we felt comfortable, moreso than than some modern places. There was a Continental breakfast that worked for us. The location is also close to shopping and restaurants. Sorry, no photos. I did not investigate Handicap options. The room we had, had a step.

We stayed here to celebrate Mom (she loved beautiful smaller motels) so we opted to stay here rather than one of the larger hotels. It was so awesome! From the moment we made the initial reservation their staff was phenomenal. We had reserved 5 rooms, they made sure the rooms were next to each other which was really nice for running in and out of each others rooms during our visit. Kyle checked us in and was so helpful, informative and friendly. We felt at home the second we walked in. The rooms are nicely updated with everything you could need in a room, they are plenty roomy, with mini fridge and a microwave and the entire motel including all the rooms are SPOTLESS! It's quiet and calm off of the main drag but so close it's fabulously convenient. We will definitely stay here next time we're in Frankenmuth. THANK YOU to the entire staff for such a great experience!

This is a very nice motel at a reasonable price for a tourist destination. Clean rooms, hot water, cold AC, and friendly staff. This motel should be rated more than a 1 star.

Really nice motel overall, and the cheapest place to stay within the town. It seems like the rooms are renovated. The bed was very comfortable. It wasn't too far for us to walk into the "downtown" area, but far enough to get our 10,000 steps! I will say there were 2 minor issues to be aware of: the sink drained really slow when we arrived so that needs attention. And the bed frame is extremely LOUD if you accidentally kick the bottom of it. Like a loud metal drum. We accidentally kicked ours a couple of times, and we heard the nextdoor neighbors kick theirs. These things didn't negatively impact our stay but just something to be aware of.

The Frankenmuth motel is very conveniently located and our room was very clean. Air conditioner worked great and bed looked relatively new. There were a few spots on the wall and doorways that were in need of attention but didn’t negatively impact our stay. Beware of late check ins, we luckily had the thought to call ahead but the office closes at 11 so if you are checking in late be sure to call so they can leave you a hand written message and all check in materials in a drop box for when you arrive. Overall would recommend staying here, especially if you will mainly be using the room to sleep and prepare for your day.
