This Fairfield Inn & Suites in Frankenmuth is highly praised for its unbeatable location and clean, recently renovated rooms, though a major concern involves aggressive guest management practices. Guests consistently mention the pool and hot tub as highlights, while quality of service is highly variable.
Nice, clean hotel with comfortable rooms and a pool/hot tub. Its also super close to The Bavarian Inn restaurant, Splash Village and Bronners Christmas store. Lots of cool shops right there too for all kinds of shopping.
A great location for staying in Frankenmuth if you want to be right downtown for all the holiday festivities. The breakfast was your typical hotel continental. The room was very clean and welcoming, the shower was excellent, the beds were nice enough. The pool was very clean and warm and the hot tub was definitely welcome after walking the town in the cold all day! I wish they had a bottle refil station.
Extremely poor experience. We visited with a group of friends and this past weekend. After dinner a couple of us were in our room playing cards and talking (no music and tv on mute). We got a knock at the door from an unidentified man. We did not know who he was so we didn’t feel comfortable opening the door. About 20 minutes later we get another knock on the door from 2 policemen letting us know we were being kicked out of the hotel. Come to find out the man from earlier was a front desk worker, again with no identification, name tag, uniform, or anything, claiming we have been warned several times to quiet down. We had never spoken to him and received no phone calls to the room. The police ended up helping us to find a new hotel to stay at (it was later in the evening and the middle of a snowstorm). I called the hotel across the street to book a room, their front desk worker asks “are you the people from across the street?” I said we are currently at the hotel across the street but we need a new place to stay and she said “we’ve been informed to not let you stay at our hotel” I let the policeman know and he had to get on the phone to speak to the other hotel to allow us to stay there. All in all, extremely unprofessional by the front staff, received no warnings to quiet down, never identified himself as a hotel employee and to go to the extent to call our next closest option to blacklist us in the middle of a snowstorm was shocking. Again, there was no damage to the room, no music or belligerent activity, just some talking, which we would have quieted had we actually been informed.
We stayed here with a group of friends and rented six rooms for a weekend. We spent most of the day out in town and returned around 11 PM. A few of us went to one room to play cards and relax before calling it a night. As we walked down the hallway, another guest made a comment telling us to be quiet, even though we were not being loud. Not to long after, a police officer and the hotel manager came to the door. There was no warning, no phone call, and no attempt from staff to talk to us first. The manager never identified himself, was not wearing a name tag, and immediately insisted that everyone in the room had to leave the property. At midnight, in the middle of a snowstorm, we were forced to find another place to stay. The only hotel with availability at first refused to book us because the manager had already contacted them. The officer had to speak to them so we could secure a room for the night. I visit Frankenmuth several times a year and have never encountered anything like this. The way this situation was handled was unprofessional and completely unnecessary. If you are considering this hotel simply because it is less expensive than the larger hotels in town, it is not worth it. I recommend paying the extra amount and staying at one of the more reputable hotels, where we have never had any issues.
This was a lovely place to stay! the room was very clean when we first got there and the staff was very friendly, especially the young lady that was working the breakfast shift! the breakfast that is offered was really good and had a great variety! (scrambled eggs, pork sausage, bagels. bread, you can make your own waffles, cereal and yogurt) My boyfriend and i enjoyed our stay and it is a nice 30 minute walk to bronner’s from the hotel, if you’re worried about how the parking will be and hesitant to walk or drive. I will definitely keep this place in mind for future bookings and will recommend to friend and family!
Here for a pleasure trip with family. Room nice, but. Shower head was 10 inches below my chin, exhaust fan roaring, yet more moisture was on the mirror than came out of the shower head in near a minute. Two queen beds for the 4 of us, but only 2 towels. Empty hair conditioner bottle with no individual bottles. I understand the 2 ? rating within this context, but with a few adjustments it is could have been so much better an experience.
Not impressed by this Fairfield. Good location if you wish to walk into tourist area. Good and simple parking. Staff was nice and friendly. Hotel is not the cleanest. Best description would be "tired". Room was clean for most part. Bed sheets kept coming off during night. Spider found on bed in morning and a large bug was crawling on wall. Hallway carpets are stained. Food choices were typical and all high carb foods. We didn't eat the breakfast . Marriott....it's time for a refresh at this one.
Very nice hotel. The room was very clean. It had a nice shower, and everything worked as it should. The only reason to give them 4 stars is because there was a bad odor coming from the pool area. It could be smelled in the hall on the 1st and 2nd floor. Thank goodness we couldn't smell it in our room on the 2nd floor.
The location is nice, but I can't say the same for the room we stayed in. Our room had crumbs on the floor and a tennis ball that was presumably for a dog. There were stains on the bedding, no hot water, and the room is outdated. After having to take cold showers, I called the front desk and spoke to someone named Bre. She was extremely rude to me and went on to snap at me about booking third-party and said that I didn't use a real card because I used my virtual capital one card. She quickly said there's no maintenance, there are no rooms I can switch you to, and nothing I can do with no apology or remorse. I spoke to her calmly and I followed up with the supervisor in the morning. They were unable to offer a resolution due to me booking through Expedia. I have stayed at various Marriott locations all over the world and as a valued customer you think that there would be a bit more effort in customer service after such a terrible experience. The apology was nice, but it didn't enhance my experience considering this was our first day at this hotel we booked for our anniversary. This was a really special day for my husband and I. A little goes a long way when it comes to prioritizing customers unfortunately I didn't feel like a valued customer and I would never return to this location. I would expect these standards from a cheap small town motel not a Marriott hotel.
Nice stay! Good location for visiting frankenmuth. Came early and was allowed to check-in early. Clean rooms, and nice pool area with hot tub. Staff is outstanding! Very efficient. Kept morning breakfast area very clean! Never seen that before. And free hot breakfast. Will be back if we visit here again.
